Accessibility Statement
My Health and Wellness Advisor is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
Our commitment
We believe everyone deserves access to health and wellness education. We are committed to ensuring mhawa.org is accessible to people of all abilities and continually work to improve the experience for every visitor.
Conformance standards
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. Full conformance requires ongoing testing with assistive technologies and expert review.
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML with a logical heading structure and landmark regions
- Text alternatives for meaningful images and icon-only controls
- Visible keyboard focus indicators and a "skip to content" link
- Color contrast that targets WCAG AA ratios
- Support for
prefers-reduced-motionto reduce animation - Responsive layouts that work with zoom and on small screens
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content — particularly older seminar recordings or third-party embeds — may not yet be fully accessible. We are actively working to address these areas.
