I’ve finally made the connection and am seeing great results. I value everything you’ve taught me re: sticking w/the Paleo diet to lose weight and your juicing info was so helpful. I got the machine last weekend, made a carrot, parsley, apple juice the next night and next am and have been inflammation free ever since. I had no idea and now I’m the family advocate for fresh veggie juice.
I spoke with “xxxx” after our wellness meeting and told her how fantastic she looked from head to toe…she said WOW thank you sooo much and that it felt great to hear that from other people. we spent two or three minute talking about her transformation and how healthy and happy it has made her feel.
Marlene, It takes a lot of people around us to make a life style change but to succeed and maintain that change you need a coach…one that sincerely cares about other people’s mental and physical health. You are that person for us. “Xxxx” is only one of countless examples of what you have done for us and our employees.
Dear Marlene: Thank you for taking the time to talk to me, and listen to me, this morning. When you first came to “xxx xxxxx xxx”, I was excited, thinking I could find ways to improve my health. But, as is typical for my chronological cohort, we aren’t supposed to ever need help. “Real men don’t ask for directions.” (I’ve driven many miles living by that rule.) Anyway, my fear that I’m getting worse finally overcame my hesitancy, and I’m excited again that you have resources that will benefit me. Following our meeting, I went to REI, the sporting-goods store. I bought some protein bars, and ate one for lunch. Not bad; tasted like chocolate-covered sawdust. But who can argue with thirty grams of protein? I’m not expecting miracles, but at this point, just reversing the trend will bring
hope. You’re making it too easy, Marlene. I can use the protein bars when I get hungry at 10 am and 2 pm, to prevent grazing on white sugar and flour that spreads like tar around here at this time of the year. Thanks again.
Thank you Marlene, think I figured out my dilemma of the high cholesterol: Shrimp. I eat shrimp at least once a week, more if I can. I will work on that….
I honestly feel some of the pressure for weight loss has been lifted and it’s looking like it’s fun again and not a chore! I would really love to get together soon and chat and set new goals. Happy New Year!!

Good News!! I did lose 19 LBS not sure if it is because of the medicine or because of the walking that I do here and at Xxxx’s (part-time job)? I just hope it is not muscle that I lost. I still am feeling tired and all I want to do is sleep not sure if it is lack of Iron? I do am going at the end of this month to the doctor for a follow up visit.
I am doing great! I have developed great eating habits and am in the habit of preparing all of my meals and snacks. I have also established a balance in my gym/workout time and have stayed consistent even during the holidays. I appreciate the follow-up!
I am getting back to my walk routine after work. Doing 50 minute walks four times during the week and a 20 minute walk on the weekend. My goal is to increase the weekend time.
I got up to 141 pounds right after Christmas!!! So I started on the diet last Tuesday, and I am at 134.5 today. I’d like to get to my “fighting weight” of 125. I don’t feel comfortable with the 130s, but I’ll be realistic too. Getting rid of body fat, but not starving myself and exercising regularly.
I have increase my meals to 3 times a day including taking vitamins and started walking as well. Feeling better and add meditation. Slow process but I will get there. Thank you for checking up Sophia

I am doing very good…right after we met I made the decision to change my eating/drinking habits and I think it was mainly because you gave me a very clear picture how my body was working and why I may be gaining weight. It makes TOTAL sense!! I got so much from that 20 min session than I have ever gotten from anyone else I woke up 15 min earlier and ate breakfast this morning, had my coffee, ate beef jerky in between and had a all beef burrito for lunch and right this moment I am snacking on cheese sticks! Here is the kicker, I even drank over 4 cups of water, which is a ton of water for me! Even though I had this instilled in me to “change” I do thank you for opening my eyes to what I need to do and NOW! Thanks for the tips below I will go shopping this weekend with all this in mind.

My protein has also increased. I am making a conscious effort to maintain these 2 goals. It will be interesting to see if it makes a difference when you get here.
I am on the hunt for a treadmill so I can walk more often. When I get home after dark, I am uncomfortable walking. It will also help when it gets too hot to walk outside. I appreciate you coming to *** and helping us with our journey to optimum health.

I just wanted to update you. I have been eating 6xday with 13grams of protein in each meal since we met. I feel better already! I am less bloated, I have continued drinking water, my scale says I have lost 5 lbs! I am still having my protein shake for breakfast and then around 7pm. I have found that I am no longer craving carbs as I used to in fact I feel less “hungry” than I used to. I am eating cottage cheese, Activia yogurt, apples and more veggies. I will be seeing you for sure in two weeks or when you come to the office again:)
Im feeling lot better muchas gracias I also taking some flax seeds on my diet and yes im ridding my bike 2x a week.
I’m doing pretty good, I have put on a few pounds which is good and my strength is still good also. Bad news is I have put on a little fat because I’ve have been eating to many carbs but it wont take long to strip that off. Overall I’m pretty happy with the results, its tougher than I thought to get that much protein in a day and I think before I met with you I was probably only getting about half that. Thanks for the advice.

I am doing great. I am eating more vegetables as I have started doing the diet. I am hoping that by the time I am done that I will have made my new eating habits a permanent lifestyle change. I would like to know where this gym of yours is and how much you charge, because there aren’t any good trainers here, they don’t have good knowledge of training techniques like you do. Thank you.

A few months ago you gave me a couple recommendations and it has gone quite well for me since then. I have gone from 181 lbs., 22% fat (50 lbs.) and 78% muscle mass to 248 lbs. with 20% body fat and 80% of muscle mass, which is without the usage of steroids. I have gained 17.4 new pounds of muscle and lost 2% fat. I have been training hard and thoroughly. I have appreciated your feedback! Fair well and I wish you a Happy New Years.

Marlene, I am very thankful for all of your advice, although I haven’t been an athlete nor a person with the weight training discipline in the gym, I have always practiced some sport. Many years in soccer, this has caused many injuries. 2 ½ years ago I participated (not competed) in 31 short races of 10, 15 and 21 km. I never thought about being competitive. As a 51 year old, I just do it as a hobby. I don’t believe that at my age it is ideal to begin a sport that I have never practiced but have always liked. When I saw you on T.V. and I got to see your physique… you know?… I felt envy and admiration, because I saw a person with character, discipline and an example for everyone. AH… Empirical: A person who gains knowledge on his own, by practice and observation. Thank you very much. I’m ready to follow your instructions, and congratulations on being so fit and attractive. We can do this because I imagine you get some questions more than once, and it’s easier for the user to go in and see the answers, than to respond with something that has already been written. Some time ago, I would take Megamass and protein, but I stopped going to the gym for many years.
